We have had so much fun with the letter S this week! I have to admit I was a bit “sluggish” this week planning a lesson plan centered around the letter S, but we sure had some fun!!!
We started off by adding the S onto our alphabet tree!
My youngest practiced writing the letter S! You can find excellent worksheets at
3. Costco
Both boys loved the worksheets that I found at
www.enchantedlearning.com. We do plan on making a lapbook soon with all our activites that we did for flowers and plants!
Math and fun mixed into one!!! A huge hit with my oldest!!! Again see the websites recommended above!!
S is for SUNFLOWER!
After the lesson indoors….we headed outdoors to plant some “sunflowers.” We learned the parts of a plant, how plants grow and what is needed in order to plant flowers!
Here are some links of teaching children about parts of a plant and the lapbooks that can be used to enhance the learning. I will have to post our plant lapbook once we are done!!!

S is for SERVING!
My youngest was serving his brother lunch on the deck!! Just so sweet!!
S is for Sorting!!
Yes, we do have fun at our home!!! Why not sort with Jelly beans!!! At least the kids have no clue we are actually doing math!!!
S is for Skateboard!! There were a parade of garage sales that we hit this week and this is what the boys found!!! They have had so much fun trying out their skateboards. We hope to make it to the skateboard park soon!!
S is for Soccer!!!
Both boys are in soccer and we had pictures done this week!!! Perfect timing for the letter S!!
S is for SUSHI!!! Of course this was the best way to finish off our week!! I think the boys would like to repeat the letter S just for SUSHI!!!
